These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Contello's websites, applications, and services (together, the "Services"), operated by Contello, Inc. ("Contello," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at support@contello.ai if you suspect any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk or possible legal exposure for us or other users.
Contello is a platform that helps you create content and stay active across social and search channels. The Services include tools to draft, design, schedule, and publish content, and to connect third-party accounts such as Google, Instagram, and Facebook. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Specific rules for AI output and acceptable conduct are set out in our AI Content & Acceptable Use Policy.
When you connect a third-party account, you authorize Contello to access and act on that account as you direct, subject to that platform's own terms. Your use of any connected platform remains governed by that platform's terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party platforms.
You retain all rights to the text, images, logos, and other materials you upload or create using the Services ("Your Content"). You grant Contello a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Services and to publish content as you direct.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to use it and that it does not infringe the rights of others or violate any law. You agree not to use the Services to create or distribute content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing, harassing, or otherwise prohibited by these Terms or by a connected platform.
The Services use artificial intelligence to help generate drafts, captions, images, and suggestions ("Output"). Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to content provided to other users. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all Output before it is published. Contello makes no guarantee that Output is original, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose, and you should not rely on it as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

Paid features are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the plan you select. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. The Services, including all software, design, and the Contello name and logo, are owned by Contello and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms. We welcome feedback, and you grant us the right to use any feedback you provide without restriction.
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we may delete Your Content in accordance with our data practices.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contello will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Contello harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms with a new "last updated" date or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Saskatchewan, Canada, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
