Subscription, Billing & Refund Policy

This Subscription, Billing & Refund Policy ("Policy") explains how Contello plans are billed, renewed, and refunded. It forms part of our Terms of Use, and the terms defined there apply here.

1. Subscriptions

Contello is offered on a subscription basis. Depending on the plan you choose, you may be billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each new billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Fees are billed in advance.

2. Free trials

We may offer a free trial of the Services. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your trial may automatically convert to a paid subscription, and the applicable fee will be charged using the payment method on file. You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you'll keep access to paid features until then. We do not provide partial-period refunds for cancellations unless required by law.

4. Refunds

Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at billing@contello.ai and we'll review your request.

5. Failed payments

If a payment fails or a payment method is declined, we may retry the charge and may suspend access to paid features until the outstanding amount is resolved. Repeated payment failures may result in cancellation of your subscription.

6. Price changes

We may change our prices from time to time. If a price change affects your subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice, and the new price will apply to the following billing period. Continuing to use the paid Services after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Taxes

Prices may be exclusive of applicable taxes. Where we are required to collect taxes, they will be added to your invoice and charged in addition to the subscription fee.
